Virus

Computer viruses have a long history.
A virus attempt to install itself on a user's systems and to spread directly to other files on that system with the aim that these infected files will be transferred to another machine .
The payload of a virus can range from 'comical' pranks to destruction of the system itself.
A virus relies on user to spread by sharing infected files either directly or via email. Once launched ,a virus is completely independent of its creator.

Install antivirus software and update
A computer virus can severely jumper the performance of your computer.they are structured to damage the store data on your computer . unlike other malicious software they can do irreparable damage by taking full control of your PC. To assure complete protection of your computer , installing antivirus is a must.an antivirus protected your computer against viruses,trojans which can be deadly of your computer AVG antivirus is an effective antivirus , which defects and remove viruses without hampering your PC performance.

Worm
A worm is very similar to a virus. They key difference is that a worms attempt to propagate itself without any user involvement. It typically scan other computers for volnerbilities which it is designed to exploit. When such a machine is identified,the worm will attack the machine, copying over it files and installing itself ,so that the process can continue.

Trojans
Trojans take their name from trojan horse of Greek mythology. Computer Trojans work in the same way. A Trojans may enter the computer system with a game, screen saver or cracked piece of commercial software. The software may appear to work as normal, but is real purpose is deliver a virus or a root kit.

Spams
Spam is any kind of unwanted online community. The most common of spam is unwanted email.you can also get the massages spam, instant message spam and social networking spam.
Some spam is annoying but harmless.
To protect yourself against email spam ,use email software with built-in spam filtering.
Email'spamming' refers to sending email to thousands and thousands users similar to a chain letter.
Sending malicious codes through email
E-mail are used to send viruses, Trojans etc.through emails as an attachment or by sending a link of website which on visiting download malicious code.

Root kit
A root kit is a piece of software that one's installed on a victim's machine opens up a port to allow a hacker to communicate with it and take full control of the system. Root kits are also known as backdoors. Same root kit given a hacker or more control of a machine than a victim may have themselves.
The  SubSeven root kit allows an attacker to turn off a victim's monitor,m love the mouse and even turn on an installed web cam and watched the victim without his knowledge.
